The feeling of getting it finally finished.
To the left of me is a white board at the top it says "October 30th - Launch Between two Worlds" Considering the launch is happening on October 15th it sounds like I'm ahead of schedule, but the truth is that date was for last year. I struggled a lot with this game, I know what I have here and while it's a big milestone for me as far as solo dev goes, it's not going to set the world on fire... lol I would honestly be shocked if anyone found an ending. But what I learned while making it was invaluable, it actually helped a ton when making my award winning game Nexify so I am very grateful to this game for what I have learned in the long process of developing it.
What started off as a game jam game back in 2023 turn into something that would take me over a year to finish and I'm very happy that it is finally done. I know there are bugs, I know there are things that are broken, can be broken... etc, but it was ALOT trying to make a 3D adventure game inside of Construct 3 and seeing as how this is my first 3D game I feel like it's a decent effort and I am proud of it. It was very odd designing a 3D game from a top down perspective where you have no ability to move the camera around in a 3D space.
This was the view I looked at while designing the game, Construct is mostly a 2d engine and while it has limited 3D capabilities I really thought it would be neat to do a 3D game inside it to just see how it could work, it was a neat challenge for myself. I do think that if I try again, I could do a ton more with everything they have updated inside the engine over the last year.
But overall just happy to have it done and move on to something else. If you do play the game, I value any and all feedback, good, bad or indifferent and thank you all in advance for playing :)
I am planning on having a competition for the game, the first person who beats the game and gets the actual real ending will get a gift certificate to buy a game on itch or steam. To be eligible just follow me here on itch and then send a screenshot of the final ending. You will know it's the ending when you see the ending text in bold Red letters. First person to screenshot that to me or a video of that, I'll buy $25 worth of games on Itch for you, or a $25 gift card on steam.
