I'm Rob :D the solo developer and artist behind PixelPun and GamesbyRob, currently living in South Korea. My passion for game development started in childhood, sketching Super Mario Brothers levels and designing my own games on the backs of donation cards in church. Although I always dreamed of making games, it wasn’t until around 2010 that I got serious, aiming to create an iPhone game and strike it rich. Needless to say, that didn’t happen.
However, I did achieve some successes during this time. Most notably, I won a Ludum Dare competition and secured third place for artwork. The game itself wasn't groundbreaking in terms of gameplay—it was a 2D walking simulator with no sound and minimal mechanics, taking only five minutes to beat, but it was my first real award in the game dev space.
Currently, my focus is on game jams and developing unique gameplay and design. I believe I have a decent art style, and my primary goal now is to create games that are both fun and original.
Notable things I have accomplished so far, I came in 3rd place in the Ludum Dare 48 Hour Compo for graphics and art. I hope to upload a remake version soon here on this website, but I need to remake it as it was made with Gamesalad. I also won 3rd place overall in the Kenney 2024 game jam using Construct 3, I also won best overall itch.io webpage.

With over 15 years of experience in the publishing industry, it's a field I truly enjoy. Additionally, I dabble in creating retrowave and game music, though I'm still exploring this interest.
